Our Journey: Kayleigh Mullen's Journey of Growth

Kayleigh joined our family in 2021, and her story is a testament to the incredible growth opportunities and unwavering support that define the Stepping Stones Care experience.

From Support Worker to Registered Manager:

"My name's Kayleigh Mullen. I'm a registered manager for Opal House, which is part of Stepping Stones Care. I joined Stepping Stones Care in 2021 and initially started out as a Senior Residential Support Worker. Very quickly, I was progressed to become deputy manager, and then by December 2021, I actually became a Registered Manager."

Empowered Learning:

"When I joined Stepping Stones Care, I was already enrolled onto my level five diploma, but I was supported to finish that within a really short amount of time. I was able to have that one-to-one support from my line manager."

Enrolled in a Level 5 diploma upon joining, she received personalised support, allowing her to complete the training swiftly. The one-to-one guidance reflects our dedication to nurturing the potential of each team member.

Passion Fuelled Training Opportunities:

"The training opportunities are really brilliant. I've been able to do things like a train the trainer course, so I'm now trained in delivering training myself, which is something that I was really passionate about as well."

A Unique Ethos:

"I've worked in a number of different children's homes organisations, and I think I've remained at Stepping Stones Care for such a long time because the ethos within the company is really child-focused, and that starts from the support workers straight up to the directors, and the support we get here is really, really good."
