A New Beginning:

"My name's Neve, and I'm a senior residential support worker at Onyx House. When I left university, I started as a family assessment worker at a residential centre."

"Fortunately, I was made redundant there and I took that redundancy as an opportunity to change career."

"I put my CV out there, and Stepping Stones contacted me. From that first phone call of being told about the job and what the job will entail, I was sold."

Stepping Up:

"I started as a residential support worker, and then through experience and my time there, I was asked if I was ready to step up as senior, with a lot of support from the manager and an acting senior for the time being."

"I was absolutely chuffed to think that I was thought of at that level, and I'm now officially a senior, no longer acting. It's been amazing to have that belief that I can do it, and I've really enjoyed that transition and hopefully it will carry on going because I'm quite ambitious and feel like this is where I want to be."
